Import your tracking spreadsheet
Already tracking submissions in Google Sheets or Airtable? Bring the whole history into CoverQueue in a few minutes; you don't start from zero.
Export your current tracker to CSV
From Google Sheets choose File → Download → Comma-separated values; from Airtable use … → Download CSV on the view. Any columns are fine; you'll map them in the next step.
Upload and map the columns
Open Import from the submission log (or Settings → Import & Export) and drop in the file. CoverQueue shows your columns next to its fields (title, writer, source, format, received date, status) and guesses the mapping. Adjust any that are off.
Only the title is required. Anything you leave unmapped is simply left blank on the entry, and writers are created automatically from the writer column.
Preview, then import
You'll see a preview of the first rows exactly as they'll be logged. When it looks right, run the import.
The importer is re-runnable: rows that match an existing submission are skipped rather than duplicated, so you can fix your CSV and import again without creating doubles.
Common questions
What about dates in a weird format? CoverQueue parses most common date formats; anything it can't read is flagged in the preview so you can fix it before importing.
Can I import coverage too? Not yet. Import brings in the log (submissions + writers). Coverage is written inside CoverQueue.
